Sacred Passage End of Life Coach & Death Doula
"This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment.
First to let go of life.
Finally, to take a step without feet."
As an End-of-Life Conscious Dying Doula, Coach & Educator, I believe it is important to create a wisdom-based caring, healing culture to restore death to its sacred place in the beauty, mystery & celebration of life and to contribute to the evolution of human consciousness.
I am an able-bodied white cisgender female. I have served in public education for 30+ years as a classroom teacher teaching Spanish & English as an additional language and as a teacher transformational coach. Currenlty I serve as a district Social Emotional Learning team member within the Department of Equity and Integration.
I teach meditation, mindfulness, and inquiry through experiential practices that integrate our minds, hearts and bodies. I am an intuitive artist and facilitate intuitive drawing and art making classes for individuals and groups. I practice Qi Gong and connect with our life force energy to support and guide my work.
When I was in kindergarten my father died after open heart surgery, since that early age I have always had a curiosity about death. As a teenager, I often assisted my mother, who was a florist, deliver flowers to the funeral home, where I would observe my mother adjust a tie or necklace and say a prayer for the deceased and their families. Since these early times in my life I have felt the sacredness of death as something mysterious and a vital part of living and what it means to be human. I believe that we are all beautiful, whole human beings and welcome you to explore the mystery of death and dying with me.

I use mindfulness, meditation, ritual and art making to create a sacred space for the dying and their loved ones. It is my goal to normalize and celebrate death so we may see death as a sacred rite of passage, an initiation, a journey. Together we can create ritual using the ancient tradition of mandala making either individually or in community with your loved ones. I will listen with radical love, attention and acceptance. I am your guide in the creation of a vision map for your last days to help you envision how you’d like to be cared for physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I will be present to support you and your loved ones to carry out your wishes.
Why did I become an End-of-Life Conscious Dying Doula, Coach and Educator? It is my belief that as I study death and allow death to be my teacher, I can have a positive effect on the lives of others as they explore their own relationship with death and dying. Talking about dying changes how we live. Conscious dying is about having a conscious life.
